Montreal, June 9, 2016— The 22nd International Economic Forum of the Americas Conference of Montreal will open on Monday, June 13 with an elite panel of more than 75 leading political, economic and business figures from Canada and across the globe.

In the current global context marked by disruptive technology, slow economic growth and political uncertainty, the Conference’s three-day program will launch with a series of sessions that examine how to chart a course to long-term prosperity. Panelists will explore the many facets of sustainable growth, including the latest developments in macroeconomic policy, investment strategy, financial technology and immigration and diversity trends.

Monday, June 13 program highlights include:

  • 10:00am - The launch of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Economic Survey of Canada 2016, with Angel Gurría, Secretary-General, OECD, and William Francis Morneau, Minister of Finance, Canada
  • The 4th International Pensions Conference of Montreal, at which experts from North America, Europe and Asia will debate solutions to the pensions challenges that are dominating the global labour agenda
