Montreal, June 10, 2016— In the wake of the Paris Climate Change agreement, the 2016 Conference of Montreal will devote its Tuesday program to exploring how the global economy can achieve the delicate balance between growth and sustainability.

Themed Energy, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development, Tuesday’s sessions will address pressing issues related to urbanization, aboriginal relations, the empowerment of women and young people in the developing world, innovation in the agricultural sector and the future of energy in a context marked by unprecedented climate change obligations and falling oil prices.

Tuesday, June 14 program highlights include:

  • 8:30am – Convectair and Groupe Muller will host a news conference to announce a new multi-million dollar energy conservation research centre in the Montreal region (Salon Bonaventure)
