A member of Time Warner’s senior management team, Carol A. Melton serves as Executive Vice President, Global Public Policy, overseeing policy offices in Washington, London, Brussels, Hong Kong and Buenos Aires. As chief policy strategist, she works across Turner Broadcasting, Home Box Office and Warner Bros. Entertainment in managing issues connected to their domestic and international operations. Melton previously headed Viacom's worldwide government relations for its then-combined businesses with CBS, including Paramount, MTV, Showtime and Simon & Schuster. Melton has also served as Legal Advisor to the Chairman of the FCC; as Assistant General Counsel for the National Cable & Telecommunications Association; and with the law firm now known as Hogan Lovells. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves as Vice President and on the Board of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. Washingtonian magazine has repeatedly named her as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Washington.”
