Salvador Medina was born in 1970, in Madrid, holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a PDG at INSEAD and a PDG in Business Administration at IESE.
At present he is Senior Vice-President of Banco Santander and Director of International Expansion, Marketing and Institutional Relations at Santander Universities.
In 1989 Salvador begins his path at Hewlett Packard carrying several positions in the fields of Product Marketing and Communications. In 1992 he joins Sun Microsystems as Head of Marketing Services for its subsidiary in Spain.
In 2000, he joins Banco Santander to build the new born E-Business Area as Director of Internet Projects and Director of Top Management Internet Training. He was responsible for the design, launching and implementation of Universia in Latin America and Portugal, serving as Executive Director. In June 2005 he was appointed Operations General Manager at Universia.
In September 2006, he takes a new responsibility as Director of Innovation and Strategic Projects at Santander Universities, Banco Santander.
Appointed Global Director of Institutional Relations, International Expansion and Marketing at Santander Universities, in December 2009, he’s promoted to Executive Vice-President in Banco Santander. In 2012 he is promoted to Senior Vice President of Banco Santander. In 2015, Santander Universities Communications was added to his responsibilities.
Since 2007 he is a member of the Brand and Corporate Identity Committee of Banco Santander.
