Darius Adamczyk is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell, a leading software-industrial company that helps connect everything from aircraft, cars, buildings, manufacturing plants, supply chains, and workers to make our world smarter, safer, and more sustainable.
He was elected as Honeywell Chairman in April 2018. Before then, he was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer in March 2017 after serving for a year as President and Chief Operating Officer. Darius’ focus in these roles has been on accelerating Honeywell’s organic growth, expanding margins, transforming the Company into a premier software-industrial, deploying capital effectively, and building a high-performance culture.
Darius joined the Company in 2008 when Metrologic, where he was serving as Chief Executive Officer, was acquired by Honeywell. He served as President of Honeywell Scanning and Mobility for four years, doubling the size of the business, before leading a turnaround over two years as President of Honeywell Process Solutions. In 2014, Darius was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies.
Before joining Honeywell, Darius held several leadership positions with Ingersoll Rand and Booz Allen Hamilton. He began his career as an electrical engineer at General Electric in 1988.
Born in Poland on February 8, 1966, Darius emigrated to the United States at age 11. He earned his MBA from Harvard University, a master’s degree in computer engineering from Syracuse University, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Michigan State University. Darius also completed the GE Edison Engineering Program, as well as numerous executive development courses at Wharton and Duke, among other institutions. He has received the Corporate Social Responsibility Award from the Foreign Policy Association as well as the John D. Ryder Electrical and Computer Engineering Alumni Award from Michigan State University. He was also named a “Best CEO” by Institutional Investor in its 2019 All-America Executive Team, and as a “Most Admired CEO” by Charlotte Business Journal in 2020.
Darius is a member of the Business Roundtable, the Business Council, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
John Rutherford Allen assumed the presidency of the Brookings Institution in November 2017, having most recently served as chair of security and strategy and a distinguished fellow in the Foreign Policy Program at Brookings. Allen is a retired U.S. Marine Corps four-star general and former commander of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and U.S. Forces in Afghanistan.
Allen served in two senior diplomatic roles following his retirement from the Marine Corps. First, for 15 months as senior advisor to the secretary of defense on Middle East Security, during which he led the security dialogue for the Israeli/Palestinian peace process. President Barack Obama then appointed Allen as special presidential envoy to the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL, a position he held for 15 months. Allen’s diplomatic efforts grew the coalition to 65 members, effectively halting the expansion of ISIL. In recognition of this work, he was presented the Department of State Distinguished Honor Award by Secretary John Kerry and the Director of National Intelligence Distinguished Public Service Award by Director James Clapper.
During his nearly four-decade military career, Allen served in a variety of command and staff positions in the Marine Corps and the Joint Force. He commanded 150,000 U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan from July 2011 to February 2013. Allen is the first Marine to command a theater of war. During his tenure as ISAF commander, he recovered the 33,000 U.S. surge forces, moved the Afghan National Security Forces into the lead for combat operations, and pivoted NATO forces from being a conventional combat force into an advisory command.
Allen’s first tour as a general officer was as the principal director of Asia-Pacific policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, a position he held for nearly three years. In this assignment, he was involved extensively with policy initiatives involving China, Taiwan, Mongolia, and Southeast Asia. Allen also participated in the Six Party Talks on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and played a major role in organizing the relief effort during the South Asian tsunami from 2004 to 2005.
Beyond his operational and diplomatic credentials, Allen has led professional military educational programs, including as director of the Marine Infantry Officer Program and commanding officer of the Marine Corps Basic School. He twice served at the United States Naval Academy, first as a military instructor, where he was named instructor of the year in 1990, and later as commandant of midshipmen; the first Marine Corps officer to hold this position. Allen was the Marine Corps fellow to the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the first Marine officer to serve as a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, where today he is a permanent member.
Among his other affiliations, Allen is a senior fellow at the Merrill Center of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a senior fellow at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. He is an “Ancien” of the NATO Defense College in Rome, and a frequent lecturer there.
Allen is the recipient of numerous U.S. and foreign awards.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in operations analysis from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master of Arts in national security studies from Georgetown University, a Master of Science in strategic intelligence from the Defense Intelligence College, and a Master of Science in national security strategy from the National Defense University.
Patrice Caine is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and the École des Mines de Paris and holds the rank of Ingénieur en Chef of the Corps des Mines. He began his career in 1992 with the pharmaceutical group Fournier before becoming an adviser on mergers, acquisitions and corporate strategy at Charterhouse Bank Limited in London.
From 1995 to 1998, he was special adviser to the Prefect of the Franche-Comté region of France and head of the Industrial Development and Energy Division at DRIRE, the French agency responsible for industry, research and the environment.
From 1998 to 2000, he joined the Conseil Général des Mines, in charge of human resources for the Corps des Mines. At the same time, he was responsible for training engineering students at the École des Mines de Paris for the Technical Grand Corps of the French State. From 2000 to 2002, he served as the technical advisor on energy at the cabinet office of the French Minister for the economy, finance and industry.
In 2002, Patrice Caine joined the Thales Group's Strategy department before being appointed to manage the following operating units - Air & Naval, Communication, Navigation & Identification, Air Systems, Radio-communication Products, and Network & Infrastructure Systems and Protection Systems.
In February 2013, he was appointed Senior Executive Vice-President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Performance Officer and joined the Executive Committee.
Patrice Caine was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thales in December 2014.
He was awarded the Médaille de la Défense Nationale (National Defence Medal - Bronze) and in 2014, he was named Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit).
Jean-Pierre Clamadieu is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des mines de Paris and an engineer of the Corps des mines. He began his career within the French Administration, particularly working for the Ministry of Industry and as technical advisor to the Minister of Labor. In 1993, he joined the Rhône-Poulenc group where he held several management positions. In 2003, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Rhodia group, and then Chairman-CEO in 2008. In September 2011, following the merger of the Rhodia and Solvay groups, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu was named Vice Chairman of the Solvay Executive Committee. From May 2012 to the end of February 2019, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu served as Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO of Solvay. On May 18, 2018, he was named Director and Chairman of the Board of ENGIE.
Stacey Cunningham is the President of the NYSE Group, which includes the New York Stock Exchange and a diverse range of equity and equity options exchanges, all wholly owned subsidiaries of Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE). She is the 67th President and the first woman to lead the NYSE Group.
Most recently, she was the NYSE COO where she was responsible for NYSE’s five equity markets and two options markets, leading the company’s strategy for its equities, equity derivatives and ETF businesses. Prior to serving as COO, Cunningham was President of NYSE Governance Services and served as Head of Sales & Relationship Management at NYSE. Before joining NYSE, Cunningham held several senior positions at Nasdaq.
Cunningham began her career on the NYSE trading floor where she served as a specialist.
Cunningham earned her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.
He joined Power in 1981 and assumed the position of Vice-President the following year. In 1984, he led the creation of Power Financial to consolidate Power’s major financial holdings, as well as Pargesa Holding SA, under a single corporate entity. Mr. Desmarais served as Vice-President of Power Financial from 1984 to 1986, as President and Chief Operating Officer from 1986 to 1989, as Executive Vice-Chairman from 1989 to 1990, as Executive Chairman from 1990 to 2005 and as Chairman of the Executive Committee from 2006 to 2008. He also served as Vice-Chairman of Power Corporation from 1991 to 1996.
After Power Financial and the Frère Group of Belgium took control of Pargesa in 1990, Mr. Desmarais moved to Europe from 1991 to 1994, to develop the partnership with the Frère Group and to restructure the Pargesa group. From 1982 to 1990, he was a member of the Management Committee of Pargesa, in 1991, Executive Vice-Chairman and then Executive Chairman of the Committee; from 2003 to 2019, he was Co-Chief Executive Officer and he was named Chairman of the Board in 2013. He has been a director of Pargesa since 1992.
He also serves as Chairman of Power Financial and is a director of many Power Corporation group companies in North America, including Great-West Lifeco, Canada Life, Empower Retirement, Putnam Investments, IGM Financial, IG Wealth Management and Mackenzie. In Europe, he is Chairman of the Board of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert and a director of SGS. He was a director of LafargeHolcim until 2020 and of Total until 2017.
Mr. Desmarais is Chairman of the Board of Governors of The International Economic Forum of the Americas (Canada), a Trustee of The Brookings Institution, Co-Chair of the Brookings International Advisory Council and a member of the Brookings Executive Committee (Washington), a member of the Global Board of Advisors of the Council on Foreign Relations (United States), a member of the Global Advisory Council of Harvard (United States), a member of The Business Council (United States) and of The Business Council of Canada. He is also active on a number of philanthropic advisory councils.
In 1994, he received the Insigne d’Officier de l’Ordre de la Couronne of Belgium. In 2005, he was named an Officer of the Order of Canada and he received the Executive of the Year Award from the Academy of International Business. In 2009, he was named an Officer of the Ordre national du Québec and in 2012, Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur in France. He holds a number of honorary doctorates.
He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and an MBA from the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD), France.
President and Chief Executive Officer, Charles Emond is responsible for the strategic direction of CDPQ and the global growth of the organization. He is also Chairman of CDPQ Infra’s Board of Directors.
Prior to this, he held the position of Executive Vice-President, Québec, Private Equity and Strategic Planning. In that role he was responsible for managing the Québec and Private Equity (Québec and International) portfolios, as well as CDPQ’s global strategic planning, in collaboration with the Executive Committee.
Before joining CDPQ in February 2019, Mr. Emond worked for nearly 20 years at Scotia Bank and Scotia Capital, where he held the positions of Executive Vice-President, Financial Affairs, Head of Canadian Corporate Banking and Global Head, Investment Banking and Capital Markets. In these roles, he oversaw a wide variety of teams located in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. During this time, he also led Scotia Capital’s Québec activities. He also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jarislowsky Fraser following its acquisition by Scotia Bank in 2018.
Mr. Emond is a graduate of HEC Montréal and holds the Fellow (FCPA), CPA, CA and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designations.
Aiman Ezzat is CEO of the Capgemini Group since May 20, 2020. Since assuming the role, Aiman has directed the integration of Altran and reinforced Capgemini’s position as a leading responsible organization, notably committing to be net zero by 2030. With more than 25 years’ experience at Capgemini, he has developed a deep knowledge of the Group’s main businesses and has worked in many countries, notably the UK and the US, where he lived for more than 15 years. During his tenure as COO (from 2018 to 2020) and prior to this as CFO, from 2012 to 2018, Aiman reinforced both the Group’s position as a global leader as well as its financial resilience. Aiman has a dual background in chemical engineering and management. He holds a MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
Graduate of the Ecole nationale d’administration (French National School of Administration) (the Léon Gambetta class), Catherine Guillouard began her career at the Ministry of Economy in the French Treasury. In 1997, she joined Air France where she was notably Senior Vice-President of Flight Operations, Senior Vice-President of Human Resources and Change management and Senior Vice-President of Finance for the Group. In 2007, Ms. Guillouard joined Eutelsat Communications as Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Group’s Executive Committee. She left this position in 2013 to join Rexel Group as Chief Financial Officer in charge of Finance, Control and Legal Affairs and then Deputy CEO, member of the Executive Board and the Executive Committee. Catherine Guillouard has been a board member at Engie since 2015 and at Airbus since 2016.
On August 2nd, 2017, Ms. Guillouard was appointed Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of RATP Group. She is also Vice-President of Systra’s supervisory board, the RATP Group and SNCF joint engineering subsidiary.
Shunichi Miyanaga is Chairman of the Board, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MMHI) effective April 1, 2019. He was previously President and CEO, where he oversaw the growth of revenues from $225 billion to $337 billion, expanding the global workforce from 68,000 to 80,000 and doubling the number of employees outside Japan to 28,000.
Mr. Miyanaga began his career with MHI in 1972 at the Hiroshima Machinery Works immediately following graduation from the University of Tokyo. During over forty years with the company, he has held numerous management roles throughout MHI and has spent his career promoting global marketing, engineering and manufacturing efficiencies and customer - focused service strategies.
Notably, between 2000 and 2006, Mr. Miyanaga served as President and CEO of Mitsubishi - Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc. (MMHMM), which was the first major joint venture entity formed by MHI and Hitachi Ltd. As President of MHMM, he successfully integrated the capabilities of two prominent organizations, fully realizing the synergies and advantages of the joint venture. MHMM has since formed a larger U.KK.. joint venture (Primetals Technologies Ltd.) with Siemens AG, which aims to be the industrial leader of the metals machinery business.
His management roles have also included appointment as General Manager of the Heavy Machinery Department, Machinery Headquarters in 1999 and as Executive Vice President, Head of Machinery & Steel Structures Headquarters in 2008.
He has been a member of the MHI Board of Directors since 2008,, and in 2011, Mr. Miyanaga was appointed as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of the Presidential Administration Office. During this time as the senior executive officer assisting the President, he led management reforms and spearheaded the business integration of MHI’s Power Systems Division with the power systems business of Hitachi Ltd.
Mr. Miyanaga was named the President and CEO of MHI on April 1, 2013, and has been serving as a non - executive board member of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation since June 2014, and since June 2019, he also holds the post of director at Mitsubishi Corporation.
Mr. Miyanaga was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, in the western part of Japan, in 1948. He holds a degree from the Faculty of Law department of the University of Tokyo and an MBA degree from the graduate business program at the University of Chicago (now known as Booth School of Business). His hobbies are playing tennis and golf, and before coming to the office every morning, he indulges himself with unsolved problems of Number Theory, etc. Mr. Miyanaga and his wife have two daughters.
